take a view of Faro

If your idea of rest and relaxation is going to a destination with beaches, pretty scenery, good food and a wide variety of active night life, then the ideal place would be Portugal. Its main attractions include history, scenery, old-world European culture, churches, monasteries and amiable people.

One of the many places to explore in Portugal can be found in the capital of Algarve region, which is Faro, home to excellent beaches that are within easy reach and boasts of a lively night life scene especially during summer. There are many ways to explore Faro. You can start by taking a hike from Arco da Vila and follow the cobbled Rua Rasquinha past tiny courtyards and orange trees. For an excellent view over the city, climb to the top of the Belvedere tower and see the beach and the mudflats beyond. For a little romance, go to the marina and watch the sun go down as you sip a glass of Lagoa wine.

It is worthy to note that Faro airport is not too far away from the city itself. In recent years, the number of visitors travelling through the airport has increased as more and more low-cost airlines compete to offer cheap flights to the Algarve. You can always check Orbitz Travel for deals on vacation packages and flights. For transport facilities to and from Faro airport, you can get taxi cabs, take a bus, or avail of Faro airport car hire.

Faro is an excellent gateway to Portugal's south coast and Spain's Costa dela Luz, so if you find yourself in the capital of Algarve, stop by and explore the city's considerable character and charm. When you leave Portugal, you will probably have a feeling of longing for something that is gone but might return, and in this case you can definitely always return.
