the dream home

Since video chat is available now in Facebook, I can't wait to chat with my friends from the U.S. whom I have not seen for a long time. I'm excited about one of my friends who recently got married and now his wife is pregnant with their first child. I never really thought that he would settle down because I've known him as a very happy-go-lucky kind of guy. He now lives in Los Angeles and currently looking for a bigger house. In one of his e-mails to me, he said that they have searched a lot of walnut houses for sale, but they have not yet found the one they really want. It reminded me of the time we were looking for our own place. There were a lot of considerations in choosing a new house or a new home. It would really depend on the family's priorities and of course, the financial capability of the future owners. He asked me for some advice and I told him that searching for their dream home is not an impossible task. They should keep in mind the qualities of a house that they are looking for. A trusted real estate agent would be of great help. Finally, I told him to try not to look at every house for sale. He could make a list of the areas where he would want to search, the price range, property criteria, etc. Well I do hope that my advice has helped him. Now I have to figure out this video chat from Facebook and soon enough my friend and I would share his experiences in his search for their dream home.

I kept on seeing ads about Thunderbird Resorts, particularly the one here in Rizal and I never thought of checking its website until today. I think it's beautiful and I would want to spend at least one night there because it kinda looks expensive. The room with the Laguna Lake view reminded me of the lakefront home I saw from the Wilmington NC Real Estate website, which I noticed also supports the Columbus Humane Society. When I used to watch the show Dawson's Creek, I wanted a house with a large bay window overlooking great water views. It just gives me this surreal feeling of sitting on the front porch, drinking iced lemon tea and enjoying a view of the lake. 

And because of this feeling that I made a reservation at Thunderbird Resort on my birthday. At least even for a day I can relinquish that moment as if I was living in North Carolina. ; )

 

buying a house

One of our plans eventually is to buy our own house someday. Last month we were looking for an apartment or a house for rent, but as hubby and I discussed this and has had a chance to think about it, we would rather save until we can afford to buy a property than rent. We are also looking into rent to own's but we cannot find the one that will suit our needs.

We have been referred by some of our friends to realtors, who I think are just as knowledgeable and experienced as the ones I read about Austin Realtors.  I believe that a realtor can serve us by letting us know what houses are available that meet our needs as they have access to a special database and by answering questions about the process. He or she should also help us get the best price on these properties. I have also learned that a good realtor should be competent with a good track record and an established reputation within the industry.

Since it would take quite some time before we can realize the dream of owning a home, we are doing our own research on how to a buy a house and exploring other options that might be able to help us. We are also studying all the costs that are involved in buying a home. For now, we are praying hard and working hard to make this dream a reality.  

 

the heat is on

It's so hot lately that I'm having a mirage of thoughts that I'm in a gorgeous beach, swimming and frolicking in the water. It's THAT hot in here. I bet it's quite as hot in Arizona, which is currently about 80 degrees and I wonder how's it like to be living in Arizona with the heat and all. If you've come from a place that always snow, then maybe the heat is what you will be looking for, which then could land you in looking for an Arizona real estate.

Talking about the weather, the heat is making everybody here go on vacation to the nearest beach. Now if you are already in Arizona, there are places there where you can live like you're always on vacation where you can bask in the sun, enjoy the stunning view from paradise valley, or just relax in an Arizona White Mountain Equestrian Estate. Just saying those last few sentences is just making me dizzy, thinking how hot it would be.

Enough about the weather. I would like to continue on my mirage of thoughts if you may - now, where beach was I frolicking earlier?
