Someone really thought that my blog is interesting ; ) It's Genebei of Her and History and I am grateful for your thoughtfulness. Your blog is equally interesting as well. I find so many blogs that are interesting and some even intriguing, especially when I browse Entrecard for blogs to drop on. Blogging is a different kind of world and what makes me happy about blogging is getting to know other people from different locations and getting connected with them through stories or shared experiences. I have learned so much about life from different perspectives through reading other people's blogs.

Thank you for this award Ge. You are one of the nicest bloggers I have ever met virtually. ; ) 

a little down, but still over the top

I'm a little sad this Mother's Day because we will not be able to celebrate it as a family because hubby is in Anawangin for their Nikon Group's summer outing. Although we had our Mother's Day dinner last night, still I would want to go out with hubby and Joaqui on Sunday to celebrate, but I understand because hubby has been looking forward on this trip and I want him to enjoy his time with his friends. Anyway, Genebei gave me another reason not to pout -

love and honesty from mommy diaries

First is this "I love your blog" award. Thanks for always visiting my blog.

1. Although I did not practice physical therapy, I am very grateful for medical transcription because now that I'm married and a mom, I can work in the comforts of our home.

2. I would like to travel more.

3. I'm not good in budgeting :(

4. I like the smell of paint, paper fresh from the copier and gas. 

5. I had worked in Dunkin Donuts as a crew during one one semester in college.

6. The reason for the above was because I failed one subject on the 2nd semester of my fourth year in college.

7. I used to have terrible teeth which were crowded and crooked. My parents could not afford giving me braces, so when I was already working and I had enough money, one of the first things I did was have my teeth fixed.

8. I really wanted to have a baby girl but when we had Joaqui, I was glad we had a boy.

9. I like anything sweet - cakes, cookies, ice cream...yum, yum!

10. I used to play the piano and the guitar, and I even write good poems back then. I don't know what happened but I have a seemingly lack of creativity for quite a while now.

Sisterhood Award

We had a hectic weekend, hence I only had time to blog now. We attended a birthday party last Saturday and then celebrated my mom's birthday with a simple dinner. On Sunday, Joaqui, Ate Jane and my mom attended a birthday party in Bounce while Jeff and I are in my cousin Liway's wedding. Talk about a lot of events. First for this week is a sisterhood tag from Leah.

At first I really had no idea what I am going to put in my blog ever since I created it and since being a wife and a mom has brought new meaning to my life, I have taken the path of writing and sharing my experiences as a mommy. I have met many moms like me who are into blogging and I have also learned from their experiences.

No matter how many blogs there are about parenting and family life, each of us still has unique and interesting stories to tell and I just hope that with jengspeaks, I am able to inspire and spread kindness with our family stories.

Premio Dardos

It's just two days before Christmas and I am still working, plus gifts to wrap are waiting for me and I still have to cook for tomorrow's Noche Buena. This year we will be spending Christmas with hubby's family and then New Year here with my mom and brother. We went to the bank earlier and there are long lines on ATMs and bank counters. Heavy traffic is already experienced throughout, especially on roads going to the markets and supermarkets. And we already saw about three vendors selling lots and lots of coconuts (for those who will make buko salad) by the streets.

No matter how busy I am, I would still find the time to pass on awards, such as the Premio Dardos award given to me by Leah. This is an award that is given to acknowledge blogs that have cultural, ethical, literary and personal values.

1. Bits and Pieces by Jan: I wish Gino and I will be able to convince friends to help us sponsor a simple Christmas party for the children of White Cross Children's Home in San Juan.
2. The Wifey Diaries by Jannesse: My birthday falls on the 22nd of December. I have always wished to spend it with orphaned or abandoned kids. I'd be super happy to spend my birthday with them. That way, they get early Christmas presents from me. Oh, and can I wish for a baby, too? Please?
3. The Versoza Inc. by Con: I'd like to have a simple Christmas party for all the children of our employees. Times were hard on our company this 2007, but still, the Christmas Spirit should not be overpowered by it. Christmas is about family. So our Christmas party should not be for employees only, but for their families as well. Also, I wish our clan would make it a tradition to have a Christmas gift giving project. My Tita Doi started it last year with the Antipolo church children. I am looking forward to this year :)
4.Jengspeaks by Jeng: Every Christmasmtime, our group Friends Empowered to Serve would solicit money, clothes, food, etc. to give to our chosen charities such as Anawim, PGH Chilrdren's ward and the street children of Manila. This year, we hope to be able to give more and add the families along the pier in our list of recipients. We also want to give the children there a simple Christmas party with food, games and gifts.

wacky weekend

Thank God for weekends! Last Friday, me, hubby and Joaqui had dinner at Mom & Tina's Cafe with fellow n@wies Con, Jacque and Rhea and their hubbies and babies. It was not really a planned get-together but it was fun. We really had a good time plus the food was superb at Mom & Tina's. It was a little chaotic with four toddlers in tow...could you imagine?! It was like having a mini children's party in one table. It was a fun time where our hubbies talked about cameras, taking care of children and all sorts of stuff while some of us (well, it was mostly me and Jeff) took turns in going out because Joaqui wanted to go up and down on a flight of stairs...and soon the other tots followed. Hahahaha....

Lucky Me instant pancit canton and Kool-Aid strawberry juice. I really don't know if this would be worth P20, but it is my favorite snack ever since I was in college ; ) I would put egg and sometimes leftover hotdogs or luncheon meat on my pancit canton...not for the weight conscious I guess ; P

My family especially my hubby Jeff and son Joaqui makes me happy.

Good times with good friends always puts a smile in my face.
