Today is Maundy Thursday and here in the Philippines, Holy Week is celebrated throughout the country with great passion. One of the Lenten traditions carried out by Filipinos is Visita Iglesia wherein Catholics recite the 14 Stations of the Cross by visiting 14 different churches. I was a member of the Legion of Mary and along with my fellow legionaries, we carry out the traditional Visita Iglesia for a couple of years back then.

I was a member of Legion Of Mary and Block Roasary too when I was in highschool but I remember doing the "Visita Iglesia" with my Mom. I'm wanting to do it with my kids but it's quite hard with a toddler in hand. =)
Hope you can also check out my NOSTALGIC entry. Thanks!

I wasn't aware of visita iglesia or we just call it in different way hehehe.. Anyway, we do station of the cross here.. Miss ko ang lent dyan satin kasi mas religious, dito kasi its more about rejoicing, fun, and celebration not like the one we have there..
We also do visita iglesia when I was with my family in Philippines. Not anymore here in US coz only a few catholic churches here. Nice to know a devoted Catholic like you sis. Been busy for Easter. Sorry for my late visit sis but my post is not late :) Hope you can visit my Nostalgia here.
